J. Henry & Sons Releases 10th Anniversary Blend

J. Henry & Sons Bourbon of Dane, Wisconsin, recently released a 10th anniversary blend, the first of an annual release the distillery plans every December to celebrate its anniversary of making bourbon. J. Henry 2019 Anniversary Blend is a 126.56-proof blend of 5-to-9-year cask strength whiskey. The distillery produced 1,200 bottles.

According to J. Henry & Sons, the whiskey presents notes of butterscotch, toffee, vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate sauce, dark chocolate covered cherries, dried dates and figs, clove and cinnamon, and more. The finish includes notes of hickory smoke, chocolate chip banana bread, black pepper and more, with a lingering spicy sweetness of dark stone fruits.

The Henry family has been making bourbon, using heirloom red corn, wheat and rye grown on their third generation farm just north of Madison.
