Nearly two dozen U.S. Senators on Monday signed a letter asking Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin to defer all deadlines for collecting federal excise tax (FET) on domestic and imported beverage alcohol through Dec. 31. Previously, the Department of the Treasury delayed FET deadlines by 90 days in response to COVID-19 pandemic.
