USBG Announces Conference, Keynote Speaker

The United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) announces that its annual National Leadership Conference will be held in Bloomingburg, New York, Sept. 11-14, and will feature a keynote address from Andrew Rigie, executive director of the New York City Hospitality Alliance.

The retreat-style conference, to be held at Camp Echo, 90 miles north of New York City, aims to bring chapter officers together with an objective to advance the organization’s mission to unite and elevate the bar industry through education, community, and advocacy. By focusing on the leadership development of its chapter officers, the Guild works to increase the quality of leadership training and experience within the beverage and hospitality industries.

Rigie is executive director of the New York City Hospitality Alliance, an association representing restaurants and nightlife venues throughout the five boroughs. Since launching the New York City Hospitality Alliance in 2012, Rigie has grown the Alliance into a premier organization delivering information, education, and services while representing thousands of restaurants and nightlife venues in the halls of government and in the media.

Said USBG Executive Director Aaron Gregory Smith, “Andrew Rigie’s vision, and ability to unify New York’s hospitality industry in a way that has a positive impact on change, mirrors the Guild’s mission to unite and elevate the bar industry through education, community, and advocacy.”
