Durham Distillery Releases Conniption Kinship Gin

Durham Distillery of Durham, North Carolina, will soon release a third flagship offering: Conniption Kinship, a purple-hued, color-changing gin.

The product has already rolled out in North Carolina, Georgia and Florida, and will launch in New York later this fall. At launch, it will also be available via ReserveBar, with shipping to 30+ states.

Conniption Kinship gin is a contemporary gin created from Durham Distillery’s dual distillation technique which is then infused with butterfly pea flowers. Kinship begins with a vapor-distilled botanical base of juniper, Indian coriander, angelica root, licorice root and dried bitter orange. Then, delicate botanicals of freshly peeled, ripe cucumbers, fresh orange and lemon peels, and lightly floral honeysuckle flowers are distilled into “vodka” using Durham’s cold distillation methods. These spirits are then blended together before they are proofed down with pure distilled and deionized water. Lastly, butterfly pea flowers are naturally infused into the gin to produce in a lustrous indigo hue.

A work of art in themselves, cocktails with Conniption Kinship Gin shift color from indigo to shades of blue and pink with citrus to create a show-stopping moment for both bartenders and home mixologists.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS:

While the Conniption Kinship can be enjoyed on its own, the spirit ‘comes to life’ in citrus based cocktails. A work of art in themselves, cocktails with Conniption Kinship gin shift color from indigo to shades of blue and pink with citrus to create a show-stopping moment for both bartenders and home mixologists.
