Holland, Michigan-based Fogg Filler, a market leader in the design and manufacture of rotary filling systems for the beverage industry, announced that it has expanded machining and manufacturing capabilities in a second location.
In 2020, Fogg obtained a second building consisting of 108,000 square feet to evolve and expand its machine shop and manufacturing area. This gave Fogg the opportunity to grow in departments such as welding, buff, CNC mill, CNC lathe, manual mill, manual lathe, and CNC router.
Over the past two years, Fogg has been renovating the space, acquiring high quality machines, and hiring highly skilled tradesmen so Fogg can provide top quality machined components. This has been a huge opportunity to speed up production lead times while Fogg is continuously growing and hiring.
Fogg’s machine shop has Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) and manual, mill and lathe machines to accommodate the needs of sister brands within ProMach as well as direct customers of Fogg. With this additional space, Fogg has been able to invest in machines with larger and faster capabilities. These machines have created countless opportunities that were not feasible before the expansion. Fogg’s new machine shop has 1 mill turn center, 1 manual mill, 5 CNC lathes, 6 CNC mills, and 4 manual lathe machines.
The shop is also equipped with multiple bar feeders to increase productivity and 3 updated CNC router machines to increase efficiency. Fogg specializes in stainless steel, aluminum, and some tool steels.
In December of 2022, Fogg had an open house event to show friends and family the completed space. Fogg is grateful for all the opportunities because of this expansion and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
