A fundraising party in Denver on Feb. 25 will benefit the family of Rob Masters.
Rob, partner/head distiller for Denver-based The Family Jones, and his wife, Heather, are both battling cancer. While both of them are doing as well as can be hoped, they are undergoing chemotherapy and continue to face significant expenses stemming from their treatment and loss of work.
Rob & Heather’s Blowout Bash promises cocktails, music, food, laughs and a chance to raise funds to support the Masters family and help offset their ongoing expenses.
The main event is a comedy show featuring Denver’s own Josh Blue, as seen on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “Last Comic Standing” and “America’s Got Talent” and fellow comic Matt Vogl.
The event will take place at Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox (which is donating the space, staff, etc. at cost) from 6-11 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25.
“You don’t want to miss this; trust me,” said Vogl. “We hope you can join us and help spread the word so we pack the place. If the fire marshal doesn’t show up and threaten to shut it down, we didn’t do our jobs!”
