Guy Fieri to Headline USBG Summit

The United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) announced a new annual conference, the first of which is to be held June 2-5 in Denver, will feature a keynote address from superstar chef, philanthropist and Santo Spirits co-founder Guy Fieri on June 3.

Following a successful Diamond Jubilee Conference & Gala marking the 75th anniversary of the USBG in 2023, the new year sees the venerable bartenders’ organization introducing USBG Bar Summit. After 10 years of USBG regional conferences, the shift to a singular, once-a-year gathering opens the experience to all members of the bar and hospitality community, and reflects the spirit of inclusivity that is central to the organization’s mission.

A partner with spirits visionary Sammy Hagar in Santo Spirits, Fieri’s leadership in and commitment to the hospitality industry – raising over $1.2 million dollars to benefit the restaurant industry during the Covid 19 pandemic, and an additional $1.5 million for Maui’s hospitality industry in the wake of 2023’s devastating wildfires – aligns perfectly with the values of the USBG, and the goals of the annual event.

“The hospitality industry represents the heart and soul of America…these are my people,” commented Fieri. “It’s an honor to be invited to speak to my fellow hospitality industry professionals at the USBG Bar Summit. Their stories, passion and commitment keep me inspired and pushing every day.”
Said USBG Executive Director Aaron Gregory Smith, “We are thrilled to have Guy Fieri join us for the USBG Bar Summit. His commitment to the wellbeing of the hospitality community as a whole intersects beautifully with the mission of the USBG to unite and elevate the bar industry through education, community, and advocacy.”

The organization’s key pillars are evident throughout the USBG Bar Summit program, with plenty of networking opportunities alongside the education and professional development focus at the centerpiece of the three-day conference.

A two-track program is on tap for those attending – one is reserved for USBG leaders and includes leadership training, plus a focus on USBG chapter duties and new technology the organization recently adopted. This second track, which is for the bar professionals and hospitality community, provides educational opportunities designed to sharpen skills and ignite passion in the form of traditional presentations, hands-on experiences, tastings, and a conference excursion. Of course, everyone comes together for meals, keynote speakers and other capstone events.

Fieri’s words, and the conference full program is sure to leave everyone feeling inspired and energized to return home and get busy in their communities.
