Foley Family Wines, the Santa Rosa, California-based wine and spirits company, has announced the addition of High Ground Vodka to its growing line of spirits. High Ground Vodka is a 100% estate rye, small production, hyperlocal vodka crafted by master distiller Joseph O’Sullivan.
“Vodka remains the largest spirit category, and High Ground is the perfect entry into this segment,” said Shawn Schiffer FFW president. “Similar to what we’ve seen in whiskey, gin, and tequila, vodka is primed for premiumization. As a small batch, estate vodka, High Ground is the perfect addition to FFW as we expand and diversify our global spirits collection.”
O’Sullivan and his team at FFW’s Minden Mill Distilling in Minden, Nevada, manage the process of crafting High Ground Vodka from growing the rye grains, to distillation and bottling at Minden Mill.
“High Ground is made locally from estate rye in the high desert of Minden and pure water from Sierra Nevada snowmelt,” O’Sullivan commented. “Small batch distillation allows us to have more control over the process, so we can create a truly unique quality vodka that is smooth with a hint of spice, perfect sipped neat or in cocktails.”
Vodka is the largest category by 9L volume. High Ground’s price segment, $22 – $30 is driving growth as the second fastest growing segment at +6% and the second largest contributor to revenue growth among unflavored vodka.
High Ground Vodka (SRP: $30) is currently available in Nevada and California.
