Louisville, Kentucky-based Lythgoe Bourbon enters the premium spirits market with two highly anticipated bourbon expressions that celebrate the rich history of women in whiskey. In honor of the legendary Gertrude “Cleo” Lythgoe, the brand will launch in time for Bourbon Women SIPosium beginning August 15. Lythgoe Bourbon’s retail launch will be limited to select Louisville locations.
Gertrude “Cleo” Lythgoe, “Queen of the Bootleggers,” was a pioneering figure during Prohibition. Cleo established a thriving premium spirits business in the Bahamas, importing quality whiskey from Europe, which was then bootlegged into the U.S. Lythgoe Bourbon commemorates Cleo’s legacy with a brand that stands for quality, authenticity, and an unapologetic desire to find, blend, and distribute the best whiskey.
Inspired by Cleo Lythgoe, Dina Coker co-founded Lythgoe Bourbon in 2021 by assembling a team of whiskey experts who shared her passion for great tasting, smooth Kentucky Bourbon. The team is committed to sourcing the finest Kentucky Bourbon and allowing it to age to perfection. Coker’s vision is to establish Lythgoe Bourbon as an influential female voice in the American whiskey industry.

Steffani Scheurich, Lythgoe Bourbon’s master blender, grew up in a family who knew a thing or two about quality whiskey. With her Kentucky roots and extensive background in spirits marketing, she ensures that every bottle of Lythgoe Bourbon meets the highest standards. Scheurich personally selected each barrel and crafted the two Lythgoe Bourbon launch expressions.
Named June’s Whiskey of the Month by whiskeyveach.com, the Founders’ Collection, inspired by Coker’s passion, is a small batch blend of 9-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey offering a rich, bold flavor profile.
