Pinhook Bourbon Unveils Vertical Series 9-Year

Pinhook Bourbon is celebrating the launch of its latest Vertical Series release: Vertical Series 9-Year. This marks the sixth release of the planned nine from Pinhook’s Vertical Series.

The Vertical Series 9-Year Bourbon is blended from only 100 high-quality barrels. And, this year’s release showcases a mature liquid with a rich nose of seasoned cedar, cardamon and preserved oranges. On the palate, sippers will be delighted to find brown sugar, glazed almonds, and brandied cherries, creating a truly sophisticated sip.

The Vertical Series, which has spent nine years refining its character, is perhaps the truest expression of Pinhook’s ethos to produce the best whiskey—not the same whiskey—with every vintage.

This series gives Bourbon lovers a unique opportunity to follow a group of 1,350 MGP barrels as they age from four to 12 years and experience the arc of flavors throughout the journey. The Vertical Series began with the inaugural 4-Year release in 2019, and the journey will continue through annual releases up to age 12.

Staying true to its racehorse roots, Pinhook showcases a thoroughbred on each bottle. The Vertical Series Bourbon bottles all feature Bourbon War, who raced and won at Belmont Park, Churchill Downs, Gulfstream Park, Keeneland, Pimlico Race Course, and Saratoga.

The Vertical Series casks are aged and blended at Castle & Key, the former Old Taylor Distillery, in Frankfort, Kentucky, with which the brand has held a distilling partnership since 2017.

Pinhook’s 9-Year Vertical Series carries a suggested retail price of $92.99. It is available through Breeze, Pinhook’s text-to-buy platform (833-332-2118); Pinhook’s website; and select retailers nationwide.
