On Oct. 20, the Washington Distillers Guild invites the public to savor exceptional spirits, celebrate the art of distillation, and support Washington State distilleries at PROOF ’24, a tasting and fundraising event that features dozens of distilleries, food vendors and industry folks.
PROOF ’24 is presented by the Washington Distillers Guild, a 501(c)6 non-profit organization that represents and works to promote the success of distilleries located in the state through industry education, legislative efforts, and an active board of directors comprised of distillery owners and industry members in Washington.
“Washington State is home to more than 100 distilleries, and our unique geography houses distilleries everywhere, from rural farms to urban centers. Our distilleries are large and small, making everything from single malt whiskey to gin to amari,” said 2BAR Spirits founder and Washington Distillers Guild vice president Nathan Kaiser. “We’re proudly one of the top states in the nation for craft distilling.”
“Washington State is a renowned agricultural region, and the access to local grains, botanicals and spices for gins and liqueurs, and clean water are all key to our local flavor,” said BroVo Spirits founder and Washington Distillers Guild president Mhairi Voelsgen. “Distilleries have partnerships with local farmers, and many of us export to other parts of the globe, putting Washington on the map for quality spirits. Our PROOF events allow us to connect with spirit lovers while showcasing all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.”

—2BAR Spirits will release its oldest bourbon ever.
—Chambers Bay Distillery will feature the exclusive release of its third bottling of Captain’s Reserve Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon.
“This marks the first release of Captain’s Reserve in over two years,” said Chambers Bay Distillery co-founder Alan Davis. “Aged for six years in our floating boathouse, this is the longest-aged expression yet—and potentially the longest-aged whiskey ever matured atop the ocean. The 2024 release boasts rich-tasting notes of salted caramel and candied orange peel, complemented by hints of dark chocolate.”
—Temple Distilling will release a special 5 Year Single Barrel Edition of its Woodcut Barrel Rested Gin, aged in a bourbon barrel from its friends at 2BARSpirits.
“Most aged gins don’t see a barrel for long; in this case, however, it was definitely worth the wait as this gin is rich and flavorful enough to entice even the pickiest of whiskey connoisseurs,” said Temple Distilling president and head distiller AJ Temple.
