Rolling Fork Releases Second Batch of Amburana cask-aged rum

Rolling Fork Rum announces the launch of Batch 2 of its popular Amburana cask-aged rum – The Amburana Odyssey. First launched a year ago, Rolling Fork’s second batch of Amburana Odyssey is a blend of six casks of 9-year-old rum distilled in Saint Philip, Barbados that was aged in responsibly harvested used Brazilian Amburana casks and then re-casked into used wheated bourbon casks.

When Rolling Fork launched its first small-batch of Amburana Odyssey in 2023, they were aware that spirits aged in Brazillian Amburana oak can be polarizing. But the response to the release was overwhelming and the entire batch (four casks) sold out quickly.

To preserve the character of the rum, Rolling Fork aged it for six months in used Amburana casks and then transferred it to hand-selected 15-year-old wheated bourbon casks for additional aging.

The resulting flavor profile is balanced and approachable, with notes of cinnamon, cocoa, and a subtle hint of cola, balanced by sweet vanilla and molasses flavors from the rum itself and the wheated bourbon casks.

Amburana Odyssey Batch 2 will be available in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Georgia, Kansas and Missouri in October and a limited quantity will be available online for $99.99 each (SRP).
