Frey Ranch Distillery of Fallon, Nevada, announced its expansion into five new U.S. markets, including Tennessee, Florida, Michigan, Virginia and Indiana. With these additions, Frey Ranch is now available in the on- and off-premise in 12 key, strategic markets – which includes Nevada, California, Texas, Ohio, Oregon, Georgia, and Arizona. As a Nevada-born and bred brand, Frey Ranch has also secured some significant account wins in its home state, including Carversteak, Mae Daly, La Cave at the Wynn, Ciao Vino, and StripSteak (part of the Michael Mina Group) – all in Las Vegas.
2024 also marks Frey Ranch’s 10th anniversary of whiskey distilling in Northern Nevada. To commemorate the occasion, this winter Frey Ranch will launch an anniversary-edition specialty whiskey as part of its newly created “Harvester Series.” The brand intends to build on the Harvester Series in the coming years with additional limited-edition whiskeys where the grains grown on the Frey Ranch farm take center stage.
“When Ashley and I launched Frey Ranch Distillery, we never dreamed that the whiskey brand bearing the Frey name would reach as far as Tennessee, Georgia or Florida, said Colby Frey, co-founder and whiskey farmer. “Regardless of where you live across the country, I think people understand the importance of farming to our communities – a big reason why farm-to-table restaurants have exploded in popularity. So, focusing on the quality grains that we grow and harvest on our family farm and use to make our whiskeys is really resonating with bartenders, retailers and whiskey drinkers,” Frey continued.
The Frey family values a common-sense approach to sustainable farming, with Colby’s inspiration to build a distillery born from a desire to create a distinctive, long-lasting product from the quality grains his family has been growing and perfecting for generations. The family has long abided by the motto, “Be good to the land and the land will be good to you,” which is engraved on the bottom of each bottle of Frey Ranch whiskey.
