Rolling Fork Rum is launching two new three-bottle value packs of their award-winning rums online as part of a strategic marketing shift.
“As a small independent bottler, our main priority is making and selling the most exceptional cask-strength, aged rums in the world,” said Rolling Fork co-founder Turner Wathen. “By bundling some of our best small-batch and single-barrel rums into three-bottle packs at great prices we create a win-win-win situation for our company, customers and retail partners.”
Most of the bottles included in the Rolling Fork value packs are small-batch and single-cask offerings that aren’t in broad distribution, which means that Rolling Fork’s online shop isn’t competing with its retail partners. On top of this, Rolling Fork’s value-pack prices make its award-winning rums more accessible to consumers.
The Rolling Fork Rum Runner Pack includes 11-Year-Old Small Batch Rum Distilled in El Salvador and 5-Year-Old Single Cask Rum Distilled in Venezuela and Heart of Gold Rum, for $99.
The Rolling Fork Fall Special Pack includes 14-Year-Old Single Cask Rum Distilled in Fiji, 10-Year Old Single-Cask Rum Distilled in Barbados and Heart of Gold Rum for $199.
“We think prices for super-premium rums are getting prohibitive, and this is a way to give consumers a great deal on some of the best rums in the world, while boosting sales volume” added Rolling Fork Co-founder Jordan Morris. “This strategy accomplishes both of those things.”
Wathen and Morris acknowledge that offering age-stated cask-strength rums at fair prices may fly in the face of the general market, but it aligns perfectly with their goal: to craft and sell exceptional rums at fair prices. Rolling Fork 10 YO Single Cask Rum Distilled in Barbados earned 98 points from Wine Enthusiast (Nov 2024 issue), while Heart of Gold Rum earned 95 points from Wine Enthusiast, Gold from San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Platinum from the Ascot Awards, and Gold in the 2024 Barleycorn Awards. Rolling Fork 11-Year-Old El Salvador Rum earned Gold from San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
