Seattle-based 2BAR Spirits recently announced the release of 2BAR 6 Year Single Barrel Bourbon.
Founded in 2010 by Nathan Kaiser and named after the 5th-generation Kaiser family 2BAR ranch in South Texas, the award-winning distillery has established itself as a pioneer in the local craft distillery scene.
“The 2BAR brand has stood for quality, independence, and hard work for more than a century, and we bring those same values from our family ranch to 2BAR Spirits,” said Kaiser. “We’re thrilled to introduce our longest-aged whiskey ever released. Aged for six years in a 30-gallon charred new American white oak barrel, the extended maturation in our newest release allowed the whiskey to develop a truly unique character, as the oak imparted depth and sophistication to the already complex grain bill of all 2BAR Bourbon. The result is a stunning richness in both color and flavor.”
“On the nose, enticing aromas of maple, vanilla, and toasted oak invite sippers to savor what lies ahead,” said 2BAR Spirits head distiller Maddie Kelly. “Not for the faint of heart, this single barrel release, bottled at a barrel strength of 128 Proof (64 ABV), offers a symphony of flavors. Expect a vibrant palate featuring notes of vanilla and oak, which gracefully transition into a complex savory finish, revealing hints of dried cherry and undertones of chocolate.”
“This Bourbon is crafted to intrigue and satisfy whiskey enthusiasts, making it a perfect choice for those seeking a thoughtfully layered experience to ponder and enjoy,” said Kaiser.
2BAR starts all of its products from local grain and then mills, mashes, ferments, ages, and bottles on-site.
“We are committed to using all Washington grain and keeping every part of our production process in-house, ensuring quality, consistency, and accessibility,” said Kaiser.
Like all 2BAR products, 2BAR 6 Year Single Barrel Bourbon is offered at an approachable price point, reaffirming 2BAR Spirits’ commitment to producing high-quality, accessible whiskey.
