This milestone release—the distillery’s 10th unique product—celebrates Edelbrand’s commitment to the quality, precision, and craft found in each of its spirit creations.
Urban 6-Row New World Gin is the result of an 18-month collaboration with two respected breweries in the region. Riggs Beer Company in Urbana, Illinois, a family-run farm and microbrewery, grows the 6-row barley used in the beer mash, a key ingredient contributing to the gin’s layered character and smooth finish. St. Louis’ Urban Chestnut Brewing Co., a longtime collaborator with Edelbrand on unique unaged bierbrands, brews a fresh beer mash as the next step in shaping the spirit’s distinct profile. Edelbrand then distills the barley mash in the final step to create the base for the gin.
The distinctive 6-row barley imparts an unforgettable mouthfeel, perfectly complemented by a balanced blend of 15 botanicals, including soft juniper notes and subtle hints of citrus. Crafted at 94 proof in 18-gallon copper pot stills, the intricate aroma and flavor profile offers an exceptional sipping experience when served neat, while its depth and strength also allow it to shine in cocktails, making it a perfect choice for spirit enthusiasts.
