Portland, Oregon-based Westward Whiskey proudly introduces its first club release of 2025, Westward x Fort George Brewery Stout Cask.
In its nine years crafting Stout Cask finished single malts, Westward has collaborated with many exceptional breweries, with Oregon’s Fort George Brewery standing out as one of its first and most cherished partners. This release focuses entirely on Fort George’s distinctive style, showcasing the incredible character of their famously delicious Matryoshka Stout. The end result is an elevated American Single Malt and a harmonious expression that celebrates the artistry of both whiskey and beer making.
To develop Westward x Fort George Brewery Stout Cask, master blender Miles Munroe led a “double stouting” process, which began by aging mature Westward in freshly emptied stout beer casks before transferring the whiskey into Fort George’s freshly returned Matryoshka Stout barrels to further deepen the whiskey’s rich flavors and aromas. The whiskey reflects roasted malt, dark chocolate, and coffee, balanced by subtle sweetness and a robust finish. This exclusive Whiskey Club expression is a tribute to the perfect Northwest pairing of whiskey and stout and a celebration of the ongoing partnership between Westward and its brewing collaborators.

Launched in 2019 and previously available exclusively in Oregon, the home of Westward Whiskey, the Club reaches consumers in more than 35 states — by far the largest and most national reach from any whiskey distillery.
