Four Branches Appoints Master Distiller Gregg Snyder to Advisory Role

Four Branches, the premium, veteran-owned whiskey brand, is proud to announce the appointment of Master Distiller, Gregg Snyder as a strategic advisor to the brand.

An industry veteran with 47 years of experience, Snyder brings a deep legacy of whiskey knowledge and craftsmanship to Four Branches. He will serve in an advisory capacity as master distiller and guide the brand’s future limited releases and support innovation while preserving the quality and character that Four Branches was founded on. “

Producing exceptional bourbon has been the foundation of our company and as we prepare to introduce new offerings and grow, we’re honored to have Gregg’s wisdom and palate in our corner,” says Harold Underdown, retired Master Chief Navy SEAL and one of Four Branches’ founding partners. “His knowledge of whiskey—from grain to glass—is unmatched, and his alignment with our values of excellence and integrity made this a natural fit.”

Snyder is known for his recent tenure as Master Distiller for Chicken Cock Whiskey where he played a key role in revitalizing the historic brand. Before that, he held senior operational and production roles at some of the most respected names in the spirits industry, including Seagram Company, Brown-Forman, Wild Turkey/Austin Nichols and Jim Beam. His decades of experience span distillation, aging, bottling, blending, and cooperage operations. “I’m very honored and extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with these distinguished gentlemen and the entire Four Branches team,” Snyder. “Their story, history and noble mission are something that all Americans should appreciate and value, which emulates my involvement – to bring consumers a high-quality bourbon that people will appreciate and value.”

Four Branches launched in 2023 and is the only spirits company founded by four veterans representing four branches of the armed forces – U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and, Marines. The mission is to honor the sacrifices of those who have served and supported them. The company is also committed to giving back and supporting the veteran and first responder community. Since its founding, more than $400,000 has been donated to veteran and first responder nonprofits.
