
Virginia Beach, Virginia-baased Tarnished Truth Distilling Co. announced the latest distribution expansion for its Coastal Cocktails RTD line, the appointment of a seasoned industry leader to guide its sales and marketing team, and the debut of two new cocktail flavors just in time for warm summer beach days—or any days.
“We’re proud of how far Coastal Cocktails has come in such a short time, and we’re really just getting started,” says Tarnished Truth founder Andrew Yancey. “With new partners, new leadership and two exciting new flavors, we’re building momentum to become a national player in the ready-to-drink category.”
Following a breakout year in 2024—including the opening of a new production facility and earning Virginia’s top spot for ready-to-drink case sales—Coastal Cocktails is significantly widening its footprint across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest through a series of new distribution partnerships. Lord, Coastal Cocktails’ new vice president of sales & marketing, who was recently brought on by Yancey to further accelerate the brand’s growth. Coastal Cocktails is ranked 15th nationally in total dollars with 94% of sales coming from Virginia and Maryland. The brand’s expansion to more states will propel sales even further.
Lord brings more than 20 years of experience with leading beverage brands, including Anheuser-Busch, Craft Brew Alliance (CBA), Wine by Design, Chihuahua Brewing Company and Spirited Cocktails Corporation. Known for building strong distributor relationships and driving growth in competitive markets, Lord joins a brand that already competes strongly against national giants, ranking No. 1 in $ sales-per-point in 2024, a figure 89 percent higher than its closest competitor.
“Jarrod’s leadership will help us sharpen our strategy and reach even more consumers,” Yancey says. “His vision, experience and energy are exactly what we need as we grow into new markets.”
Riding that new wave of growth are two new Coastal Cocktails flavors just hitting retail locations.
- Strawberry Rhubarb – A juicy twist featuring ripe summer strawberries, tangy rhubarb, and Tarnished Truth’s own Fourth Handle Gin. Lightly sweet, a little tart, and endlessly refreshing.
- Peach Punch – A bold blend of real peach juice and AVA Vodka, capturing the flavor of peak-summer sunshine in a can.
Both flavors are available in convenient 4-packs and as part of the new Tropical Mixed Packs now rolling out to retail shelves.
