
Cathead Distillery, Mississippi’s oldest legal distillery, announces the launch of its Estate Collection Straight Wheat Whiskey, a premium, 100% wheat whiskey that represents a true grain-to-glass production, where every aspect from growing the wheat to bottling the final product taking place in Mississippi. This small batch, limited release is also the first of its kind to be distributed outside the distillery’s home state.
Showcasing a dedication to craft and heritage, the Estate Collection Straight Wheat Whiskey features a 100% wheat mash bill, pot distilled and aged for 7 years in new #3 charred oak barrels. The final product is a carefully selected blend of the finest barrels out of a fourteen-barrel lot, bottled at a robust 100 proof.
A mature whiskey, it delivers an aromatic nose of rich vanilla and baking spices, complemented by toasted marshmallow and subtle fruity notes of cherry and bubblegum. The palate presents a buttery texture with sweet, nutty flavors of almond and hazelnut, wrapped in abundant vanilla. The finish offers hints of grain and citrus with lingering vanilla reminiscent of a dreamsicle.

At a suggested retail price of $75, the Estate Collection Straight Wheat Whiskey will be available in select states, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee, as well as online via Seelbach’s for nationwide shipping.
