Sagamore Spirit Announces Sponsorship with 2025 BMW Championship

Sagamore Spirit, the award-winning Maryland rye whiskey distillery, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2025 BMW Championship taking place in Maryland this summer. Held from August 12–17 at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, the tournament will welcome the top 50 players in the PGA TOUR’s FedExCup standings and draw thousands of fans to Sagamore’s home state. As the Preferred Whiskey Provider of the 2025 BMW Championship, Sagamore Spirit will deliver a bold and immersive whiskey experience rooted in Maryland pride.

“Partnering with an event of this caliber, right in our backyard, is incredibly meaningful for Sagamore Spirit,” says Robert Cullins, Executive Vice President of Disaronno International. “This tournament not only celebrates world-class golf but also supports a remarkable cause through the Evans Scholars Foundation. We’re proud to raise a glass in support.”

“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Sagamore to Caves Valley Golf Club as the preferred whiskey provider for this year’s championship,” says Vince Pellegrino, WGA senior vice president of tournaments. “As an iconic Baltimore brand, Sagamore’s commitment to quality makes it the ideal partner for a week-long celebration of the spirit of this city.”

Throughout the tournament, Sagamore Spirit will be featured in key hospitality and concession areas, offering guests a selection of its acclaimed rye whiskey expressions, including Sagamore Small Batch, Double Oak, and Cask Strength. The signature cocktail, coined the Sagamore TEE TIME, made with Sagamore Small Batch, peach liqueur, lemonade, and iced tea, will be served at upgraded ticket venues and specialty bars. The brand will also have naming rights to the “Caves Club featuring Sagamore Spirit,” a premium skybox overlooking the 16th and 18th greens. The space will feature Sagamore-branded décor and immersive design touches that reflect the brand’s bold aesthetic. Sagamore Spirit’s presence will extend throughout the Caves Club venue with branded elements featured on entrance boards, bar backs, venue walls, and TV wraps.

The BMW Championship, the penultimate event of the PGA TOUR season, has been named “Tournament of the Year” a record six times. The tournament will feature the top players in the FedExCup standings, competing for the J.K. Wadley Trophy and a chance to advance to the season-ending TOUR Championship in Atlanta. Since 2007, the event has contributed more than $60 million to the Evans Scholars Foundation, which provides full housing and tuition college scholarships to high-achieving youth caddies across the country.
