Woody Creek Distillers Names Stephen Julander Senior Operations Manager

Woody Creek Distillers announces today that it has named Stephen Julander as Senior Operations Manager. In his new post, Julander will oversee day-to-day operations, including distilling, leadership of production staff, and supply chain management at the award-winning craft distillery located in Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley.

Julander returns to Colorado, having started his distilling career at Laws Whiskey House in Denver in 2012. In the subsequent years, he has amassed experience in distilling, distillery operations, and more. Most recently, he served as Master Distiller and Production & Operations Manager at Santa Fe Spirits, New Mexico’s largest distillery. There, he led efforts to increase the distillery’s yields. Prior to that, he oversaw the full build-out of Sabbatical Labs Distilling’s (now Sabbatical Distillery) new, exclusively solar-powered facility on a 7,000-acre farm outside Stockton, Calif. While at Brush Creek Distillery in Southern Wyoming, he spearheaded the build-out of an entirely new distillery on a 30,000-acre guest ranch and developed all recipes, blends, programs, products, tours, and training.

Said Woody Creek Distillers Co-founder and CEO Mary Scanlan, “We are delighted to have Stephen join the team. As we continue to grow as a business and increase yields, we are confident that his experience and leadership will prove to be invaluable assets.”

“I am thrilled and honored to be a part of the Woody Creek team,” said Julander. “Woody Creek is a premium distillery with a dedicated crew who thoughtfully craft exceptional spirits. This commitment to quality is rare, and I am excited about the future and the heights we can rise to!”
