Las Vegas Distillery Releases Single Barrel of Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Las Vegas Distillery proudly releases a single barrel of 2-year Straight Bourbon Whiskey at noon on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in Henderson’s Booze District. As guests wait for doors to open, they can enjoy coffee shop GC Deja Brew from 10 am-3 pm, as well as partake in some Bourbon trivia for a chance to win Las Vegas Distillery swag.

“We are excited to showcase the fact that great Bourbon can and will be made in the Las Vegas Valley by working with climate and not against it,” said Master Distiller Jonny Ver Planck.

Tasting Notes

Las Vegas Distillery’s Straight Bourbon Whiskey Barrel #21 offers more complexity and roundness than its 1-Year Aged Blue Corn Bourbon released in 2024, with a stronger oak presence for a more complex finish and deeper caramel and vanilla tones alongside layered spices.

The experience begins with warm caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, and a hint of orange peel to the nose, followed by honeyed corn, baking spice, and cocoa on the palate. The finish lingers with pronounced oak and a touch of toffee.

Unique to Las Vegas’s warm and dry environment, the high heat encourages active barrel interaction with the spirit resulting in a concentrated aroma and flavor very few whiskey distilleries can duplicate. The Straight Bourbon Whiskey was aged two years and bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV).

At Las Vegas Distillery’s single barrel release on September 27, enthusiasts can line up for one of 230 bottles, individually numbered, available for purchase at $49.99 each. Guests will be limited to two per person, first come, first served, no presales. The new Bourbon will accompany the current lineup of artisanal spirits including Vodka, White Rum, Coffee Liqueur, Gin, Overproof Rum, Spiced Rum, Dark Rum and New Make Bourbon.

Recently celebrating going into distribution, as well as their first anniversary, the Distillery operates entirely on-site, overseeing every step of production—from milling and mashing to fermentation, distillation, and bottling. Guests can enjoy interactive tours, an immersive tasting room, expertly crafted cocktails featuring world-class spirits, bottle sales, and more. Tours are available Wednesday through Friday at 4 pm and 6 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm, 4 pm, and 6 pm.
