What does being a sponsor of ACSA mean to you personally—and how do you see your role in shaping the future of craft spirits?
Annika Galloway: Being a member of ACSA is very important to Galloway company because we have a deep respect for the dedication and entrepreneurial spirit of the craft distillery community. As a family-owned business ourselves, we relate to the passion and grit it takes to build something from the ground up and because of that, we make it our mission to take care of customers of all sizes. Supporting organizations like ACSA is one way we can give back and stay invested in the future of craft spirits.

What do you see as the greatest challenges for craft spirits producers, and how does your company help craft spirits producers navigate those global and domestic market pressures?
Annika Galloway: Today, we see the cost of starting and sustaining a craft distillery as tough as ever. Between changing consumer habits, tighter margins, and the general pressure of running a small business, the barrier to entry can be overwhelming.

As supplier to the craft industry, it’s our commitment to maintain fair prices and low minimum order quantities in order to help reduce the barriers to entry and raise the chances of success as much as possible. We spend a lot of time educating and supporting our customers, even in ways that don’t immediately translate into sales, because we believe that when craft distillers succeed, the entire industry becomes stronger.

What innovations or product developments from your company are most exciting for craft distillers right now?
Annika Galloway: Cream liqueurs used to be a challenging category for new producers to break into. We’ve made great strides in cream liqueur production to make our creams more user friendly and versatile for any concept.

Today, we are helping craft distillers push the boundaries of what they can do with cream liqueurs. From designing cream bases that can work with any type of alcohol, to RTD specific bases, or even bases that can withstand acidic ingredients. We’re always looking for new ways to help our customers stand out on the shelves.

How do you support sustainability or community-driven initiatives within the craft spirits ecosystem?
Annika Galloway: We are a business built on the strength of our community, and we are dedicated to supporting the health and prosperity of our community. We begin by looking internally, finding opportunities to reduce waste, be more efficient with our energy and consumption, and then look outside our wall to support those around us. Through a focus on supporting basic needs, education, and the arts, we work to build a prospering community that lifts all.

What role does technology and/or e-commerce play in your strategy to support distillers?
Annika Galloway: We make a conscious effort to understand where each customer is in their own technology or e-commerce journey and meet them on that level. Some prefer face-to-face communication while others prefer to order online. We accommodate each customer’s unique preference, because it’s Galloway’s job to make doing business with us easy and stress-free.
