Central Standard Craft Distillery Launches Bourbon Cream Liqueurs

Milwaukee-based Central Standard Craft Distillery introduces Wisconsin’s first locally distilled bourbon creams: Apple Bourbon Cream and Cherry Bourbon Cream. This release marks Central Standard’s entry into the liqueurs market, following its recent collaboration with Leinenkugel’s on a canned cocktail line in February.

Distilled from Central Standard’s small-batch Dockside Bourbon Whiskey made with local grains, the new liqueurs feature seasonal flavors — Door County cherries and locally harvested apples — blended with 100% Wisconsin dairy cream.

“This has been a year of innovation for us, and we wanted our entrance into the liqueurs market to be bold, significant, and authentic to who we are. We’re honored to release our state’s first locally crafted bourbon creams, made with our own locally distilled bourbon,” said Jim Kanter, chief commercial officer of Central Standard Craft Distillery.

Over the past year, the award-winning distillery has been perfecting its creams in cocktail recipes and on retail shelves at the Central Standard Crafthouse & Kitchen in downtown Milwaukee. By gathering feedback from patrons, the distillery curated a recipe tailored to the tastes of local drinkers.

“We’re excited and ready for this to be our biggest seasonal launch yet,” said Evan Hughes, co-founder of Central Standard Craft Distillery. “During our research and development phase, we could hardly keep it on the shelves. Whether enjoyed in a cocktail or over ice, these creams capture the flavors of Wisconsin’s rich agriculture traditions.”

As Central Standard celebrates its 10-year anniversary this year, the new Bourbon Creams join an impressive lineup of products that includes whiskey, brandy, vodka, gin, and canned and bottled cocktails. The distillery, one of the biggest in the state, has grown by over 33.5% this year.

Apple Bourbon Cream and Cherry Bourbon Cream have ABVs of 23% and come in 750mL bottles at major retailers and independent liquor stores across the state. The creams can also be purchased by the bottle or ordered at the bar at Central Standard Crafthouse & Kitchen.
