Copperworks Kenmore Celebrates First Anniversary

In honor of its first birthday, Copperworks Kenmore is celebrating all weekend long—Oct. 18-19. The cocktail bar and tasting room is an offshoot of Seattle-based Copperworks Distilling Co.

Cask Finished Manhattan Event | Friday, October 18, 2024 | 2 pm – 9 pm (during regular Friday business hours)

Located directly on the Burke Gilman bike trail, the cocktail bar and tasting room (with outdoor seating under white string lights) will unveil its new cask finished cocktail program by tapping a cask finished Manhattan. Copperworks created the Manhattan with a single cask whiskey that matured in the same cask now used to finish the cocktail! Alongside the single cask whiskey, Copperworks crafted the Manhattan with broVo Jammy Sweet Vermouth (from nearby Woodinville) and Scrappy’s Bitters (from Seattle).

The official tapping time is 6:30 p.m.

COCKTAIL
Guests will then have an opportunity to enjoy a Copperworks Kenmore one-minute-old cask finished cocktail, which they can return to in the future to see how it changes as it rests in the cask over time.

FLIGHTCopperworks will serve a limited-time Manhattan flight featuring its new whiskey lineup of three ongoing releases (Maltsmith, Farmsmith, Peatsmith) alongside this cask finished creation.

SPECIAL RELEASE | Copperworks Kenmore Turns 1 Single Cask Whiskey

“We are thrilled to celebrate our first anniversary with the community,” said Copperworks Distilling Co. co-owner and president Jason Parker. “We’ve spent the last year hard at work fine-tuning the space and training up a staff we are proud of. Additionally, we’ve cultivated a fantastic partnership with De La Soil, who will be bringing a farm-to-kitchen concept to Copperworks Kenmore in the not-too-distant future. They shall also be featuring delicious food offerings all weekend long out of their renowned pop-up kitchen!”

Outlanders Opry | Saturday October 19, 2024 | 5 pm until late

Copperworks Kenmore welcomes the Outlanders Bluegrass Progressive Social Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the broader genre of acoustic music through jams, education, and shows, for the group’s fourth Outlanders Opry.

Schedule of Events

From 5 pm until late on Saturday, October 19, enjoy an evening packed with bluegrass performances, jam circles, workshops, and a bluegrass (instrument) petting zoo for the curious at heart.

Copperworks recommends showing up right at 5 pm for those interested in Pete Martin’s workshop on western swing, Kian Dye’s bluegrass mandolin workshop, or the instrument petting zoo.

Performances start at 6 pm and run until around 9:30 pm, after which a “pro jam scramble” will ensue late into the evening.

This event is all-ages and free to attend, with a suggested donation of $15.
