2BAR Spirits Crafts Exclusive Spirit in Partnership with Lidia’s Kansas City

Seattle-based distillery 2BAR Spirits and Lidia’s Kansas City are collaborating to unveil a one-of-a-kind product—Lidia’s Single Barrel Amaretto Finished Bourbon, an exclusive spirit created especially for Lidia’s guests.

Known for its grain-to-glass process, 2BAR Spirits mills, mashes, ferments, ages and bottles its products all on-site in the Northwest. This careful approach gives its spirits a distinctive character and depth.

The Lidia’s Single Barrel Amaretto Finished Bourbon is no exception.

“Our partnership was born from a shared commitment to excellence and innovation, culminating in the creation of this exclusive offering,” said beverage director and sommelier Garrick Mallery. “The Amaretto cask blends the rich and robust character of classic American bourbon with the timeless elegance of one of Italy’s most iconic liqueurs. It’s this spirit of collaboration and craftsmanship that brought Lidia’s Kansas City and 2BAR together for this unique product, offering guests something both familiar and beautifully unexpected.”

Lidia’s Single Barrel Amaretto Finished Bourbon is featured in the restaurant’s “Roman in Manhattan” cocktail, which is a riff on a Black Manhattan. The specialty bourbon is also used to flavor a gelato, which is currently on Lidia’s Kansas City menu.

For the first time in its 26-year history, Lidia’s Kansas City will host a spirits-focused, one-of-a-kind bourbon dinner to celebrate its collaboration with 2BAR Spirits

Lidia’s 2BAR Bourbon Dinner will feature a specially crafted multi-course Italian-inspired menu by Chef Cody Hogan paired with 2BAR Spirits’ bourbons—including the 2BAR 80 Proof, 2BAR Wine Barrel Finished Bourbon, 2BAR Bottled in Bond, and 2BAR Lidia’s Single Barrel Amaretto Finished Bourbon.

“2BAR bourbons were chosen based on their unique flavor profile and how those notes would complement the ingredients in each of Chef Hogan’s courses,” said Mallery. “The goal was not only to offer exceptional bourbon but also to curate pairings that elevate the experience. The combination of cocktails and dishes highlights how beautifully bourbon and classic Italian food can work in harmony.”

Introductions and insights into each pairing will be shared by chef Cody Hogan, beverage director and sommelier Garrick Mallery, and 2BAR Spirits’ founder Nathan Kaiser.
