Hoot + Howl Spirits’ mountain-crafted, historically inspired spirits earned high-scoring medals at the Beverage Testing Institute World Spirits Championships, multiple medals at the prestigious 2026 World Whiskies Awards, and top honors, including Best of Colorado, at the recent Heartland Whiskey Competition. In its first year, Hoot + Howl is recognized among the best in Colorado and beyond.
Hoot + Howl’s two unique cask-finished bourbons, Amaro Cask Bourbon and Armagnac Cask Bourbon, earned gold medals at the 2026 Beverage Tasting Institute World Spirits Championships. As one of the nation’s most rigorous spirits evaluation programs, BTI judges score spirits on a 100-point scale. Both bourbons scored 92 points, ranking as Exceptional spirits in the bourbon category. At The World Whiskies Awards, which evaluates whiskies from across the globe, Hoot + Howl also earned silver medals for its Amaro Cask Bourbon and Armagnac Cask Bourbon.
As a distillery, Hoot + Howl Spirits also won “Best of Colorado” in the ACSA Heartland Whiskey Competition, where they also took home two silver medals for the Amaro and Armagnac Cask Bourbons. Both Armagnac Cask Bourbon and Amaro Cask Bourbon benefit from a full year in their respective finishing casks, allowing the spirits plenty of time to fully mature and marry with those new cask flavors.
Armagnac Cask Bourbon is blended from seven-year-old bourbon and finished for one year in an ex-Armagnac cask. This spirit is rich with layers of fruit, spice and oak. Notes of candied fruit, vanilla, toasted almonds, and cinnamon create a bold-yet-smooth sipping experience.

Hoot + Howl’s Black Tea Liqueur earned a silver medal at the Beverage Testing Institute World Spirits Championships. Triple Sec earned a silver medal at the BTI World Spirits Championships. Gin earned a bronze medal at the BTI World Spirits Championships.
