Woody Creek Distillers Releases William H. Macy Reserve Rye Third Edition

Woody Creek Distillers and the brand’s Spokesdude, award-winning actor William H. Macy, have announced the release of Woody Creek William H. Macy Reserve Rye Third Edition. Beginning May 15, the limited release whiskey from the award-winning distillery at the base of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado’s majestic Roaring Fork Valley will be available at select retail outlets and on back bars as well as through Woody Creek’s direct-to-consumer channel at woodycreekdistillers.com.

Chosen in a blind tasting led by William H. Macy and Head of Distillation Stephen Julander, along with Woody Creek co-founders Mary and Pat Scanlan and bar industry luminary Sean Kenyon, the five-barrel blend was selected for its balance, depth, and character.

  • Tasting notes:
    • Nose: Butterscotch, lavender, citrus, spice
    • Palate: Rye, pecan, molasses, tea, coffee
    • Finish: Long, warm, spice
  • Allocation/SRP: A limited number of cases of William H. Macy Reserve Rye Third Edition will be available for SRP $199.99/750ml bottle.

“I’m a rye whiskey guy; always have been. For me, that’s America’s drink,” says Woody Creek Distillers Spokesdude William H. Macy. “And in all sincerity, I think Woody Creek makes the best spirits around. We don’t do everything, but what we lean into, we do as well as anyone in the business. I hope everybody enjoys this liquid.”
