Black Eyed Distilling Co. of Fort Worth, Texas, unveiled BLK EYE Spirit Number 5, a three-barrel release of a 92 proof spirit made with black-eyed peas and corn.The spirit was barreled in February of 2017 and was aged in heavy-charred new American oak for just over 24 months. While the spirit is not technically a whiskey (since black-eyed peas are not a grain), but according to the distillery it looks, smells and tastes like whiskey.
