Seattle-based Copperworks Distilling Co. announced that its Plum Gin, previously called Copperworks Plum Cask Finished Gin, has secured a spot in its standard lineup. Copperworks Plum Gin Release No. 001 is now available for purchase at the distillery and in its online store.
This year’s release was produced by finishing Copperworks Small Batch Gin in five charred, new American oak casts for about 100 days. It was then transferred into stainless steel tanks to rest on pitted Italian prune plums from two local family farms: Warm Valley Orchard and Lazy River Farm. The distillery says almost one pound of plums goes into making each bottle.
