Garrison Brothers Distillery Raises Over $50,000 for The Alamo

In March, Garrison Brothers Distillery, the first legal bourbon distillery in Texas, hosted Salud to the Lone Star, their annual fundraiser to celebrate Texas Independence Day, the anniversary of their first release, and benefit the Remember The Alamo Foundation

Hosted in Hye, Texas, on the 68-acre cattle ranch and distillery, the annual fundraiser attracted over 500 attendees to celebrate all things Texas for a fun all-day affair. The event’s proceeds were donated entirely to the Remember the Alamo Foundation to aid in its mission to preserve The Alamo and its 300-year history. The celebration’s fundraising efforts included a live auction with Dan Garrison and his team auctioning off one of the most coveted bottles of Garrison Brothers’ most exclusive releases, Hye Rye. The bottle went for a whopping $12,000. Other fun auction items included custom Garrison Brothers cornhole tables and limited-edition artwork by Texas born artists.

“We are proud to be able to have raised over $50,000 for the Remember The Alamo Foundation at Garrison Brothers’ Texas Independence Day celebration. This is the biggest amount that we have ever raised for a charity at our Distillery. We believe in their mission and so do our bourbon drinkers,” shares Rob Cordes, Head Marketing Dude, Garrison Brothers Distillery.

Throughout the day, guests enjoyed live music by Jake McLain and Matt Creaton, lunch from Chef Jack and his team, and cocktails from on-site restaurant the Whiskey Shack. For the special event, Garrison Brothers and The Alamo created 250-limited edition Single Barrel special commemorative bottles and were available at San Antonio’s Alamo City Liquor Stores, donating 100% of the proceeds to the Remember The Alamo Foundation.

“Thank you to Garrison Brothers Distillery for hosting their annual Texas Independence Day Celebration, and graciously donating this year’s event and their commemorative bottle proceeds to The Alamo,” said Kate Rogers, Executive Director of the Alamo Trust Inc. “We are deeply honored and appreciate their continued support to help preserve the Shrine of Texas Liberty for future generations.”

On April 27, 2022, Garrison Brothers Distillery’s Dan Garrison and Rob Cordes joined Kate Rogers and Sheila Mayfield from the Remember the Alamo Foundation for a check presentation at The Alamo. The super-sized donation was accompanied by a super-sized check proudly displaying Garrison Brothers Distillery’s fundraising efforts.
