Denver-based bottled cocktail company Uncle Tim’s Cocktails is releasing its newest ready-to-drink craft cocktails. Just in time to get people in the holiday spirit, the series evokes warmth in time for autumn and winter with flavors like maple and clove, but allows each taster to find what they love.
The Old Fashioned Series is the third in its line of three-bottle tasting sets, adding to its current Negroni and Manhattan offerings, and includes three variations on this timeless recipe: a Classic Old Fashioned, Gin Old Fashioned and Maple (Rum) Old Fashioned.
“Much like a wine or beer tasting experience, our cocktail flights are about the exploration and journey to find what you love, leading you and your tasting companions down a unique path,” said co-founder Patrick Stern. “It can help everyone discover and enjoy something new – and that discovery may come as a surprise.”
The other release is a limited quantity of its Barrel-Aged Black Walnut Manhattan, the brand’s first barrel-aged offering and a new take on the original limited-run Black Walnut Manhattan it released in 2022. This cocktail will only be available at its holiday season market events and in the Uncle Tim’s Cocktails Tasting Room at 1150 S. Lipan St. in Denver (while supplies last).
Uncle Tim’s Cocktails is all about bringing people together to discover. Founders Tim Felkner and Patrick Stern first connected over a shared love of creating memorable experiences for friends (often over food and beverage) while living in San Francisco. Felkner, a serial restaurateur, has always loved finding new ways to reimagine the classics.
The idea for Uncle Tim’s Cocktails formulated over a decade but came to fruition in 2020 as people began celebrating – and bartending – at home. Noticing a gap in quality and flavor within the ready-to-drink cocktail market, Uncle Tim’s Cocktails aimed to elevate cocktails enjoyed at home to match those found in restaurants, also making them more accessible to a broader audience beyond the home mixologist.
Since launching in May 2022 and opening its Tasting Room in January 2023, Uncle Tim’s Cocktails can now be found all around the Denver Metro area: at markets and special events with a tent or mobile bar, in select liquor stores and even online (shipping available in 40 U.S. states).
Felkner and Stern love being able to share their combined passion, creativity and sense of an elevated experience in every bottle and hope people taste that with each sip. All that one must do: pour over ice.
“I would love for our cocktails to encourage celebration – life transitions, big wins or little accomplishments,” said Felkner. “With drink in hand, we can cease the opportunity to stop, take a breath (and a sip), and intentionally enjoy the moment.”
