New Orleans-based New Dawn Distilling introduces its latest offering, a sophisticated 10-Year New York Wheated Whiskey, available online Nov. 1. This new expression is the second addition to the New Dawn Distilling collection, following the successful inaugural six-year New York Bourbon in June, which won a Silver Medal at the 2024 Spirits Rating as well as recognition at the Taste of Black Spirits in Detroit.
“This whiskey is a sexy, sophisticated, cask strength whiskey with fruit flavors that seamlessly transition into spicy notes,” said Dawn O’Neal, founder of New Dawn Distilling. “The drink is for those boss moments when you want to make your own adventure. Whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks, with a splash of water—this whiskey does it all.”
The 10-Year New York Wheated Whiskey features a distinctive nose of banana, caramel, chocolate, cherry and vanilla. On the palate, it reveals hints of rosemary and clove and is refined with ginger, orange and apricot. It starts with spicy with a building heat but clears the pallet to rebuild.
New Dawn craft spirits are distinguished by yearly small-batch releases that showcase vibrant flavors, without additives or fillers, and always considers the influence of climate. From grain to glass, New Dawn emphasizes efficiency, minimizing waste, and promoting sustainable agriculture and renewable energy.
