Eight Oaks Releases Veterans Cut Rye

In honor of Veterans Day, New Tripoli, Pennsylvania-based Eight Oaks Farm Distillery released a new Veterans Cut—a Bottled-in-Bond Veterans Cut Rye Whiskey.

This Veterans Cut Rye joins the Farm Reserve Line, which also features Eight Oaks’ Veterans Cut Bourbon.

This latest release is a blend of four barrels, barreled on Sept. 1, 2020, at Eight Oaks Farm Distillery.

According to founder and CEO, Chad Butters, “We’re excited for folks to get their hands on this latest release of Veterans Cut. It’s all made from grain grown exclusively for us by our partners at Newhard Farms and I’m super proud of the production crew—they nailed it.”

Director of distillery ops/head distiller, Caitlin Fenstermacher, says this rye is, “Four years, 64 days old and it’s been double distilled and aged in New American White Oak Char #3 barrels. Whiskey fans will love this balanced flavor profile with smokey sweet maple syrup aromas on the nose, and black cherry and honey flavor notes with a subtle earthiness. The sip ends with a clean rye spice finish.”

Eight Oaks only has about 158 cases with this latest release—fans of Eight Oaks’ Veterans Cut can head to the distillery in New Tripoli or learn more online at https://eightoaksdistillery.com/veterans-cut-rye-whiskey/.

Veterans Cut Rye is 750 mL, 100 Proof/50% ABV, and made from 12% Corn, 78% Rye, and 10% Barley. It retails for $79.99 + tax.
