Don’t let the numbers confuse you. Washington, D.C.’s One Eight Distilling turns five-years-old this week and to mark the occasion, the distillery has released 200 750-ml bottles of District Made Bottled in Bond Rye Whiskey. The rye aged in barrels for nearly four-and-a-half years and is the most mature whiskey to have been distilled, aged and bottled at a single distillery within the District of Columbia. Also in this week’s episode, the three chairs of the American Craft Spirits Association’s Education Committee tell us about a very special Master Class that’s happening immediately prior to the official opening of ACSA’s 7th Annual Distillers Convention and Vendor Trade Show in Portland, Oregon.
