Spirit Works Distillery to Release Four Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Spirit Works Distillery of Sebastopol, California, will release its Four Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey on Wednesday.

Each batch of the 90-proof whiskey is the proprietary master blend of the distillery’s two bourbon formulas. Featuring 60% corn with wheat, rye and barley in the mash bills, the grains are all organic and the corn and wheat are grown in California. Mashed, fermented, distilled and aged on-site (for a minimum of four years) by Sprit Works’s female distilling team, this bourbon eaters impressive palate complexity from each of the four grains.

The bourbon is smooth and welcoming in a cocktail and especially delicious sipped neat. On the nose, Four Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey presents aromas of honeysuckle, toasted sugar and stone fruit. Chicory, brown butter and treacle are notable on the palate, while roasted savory cooking spices dominate the finish.
