Minneapolis-based Du Nord Social Spirits’ popular Cafe Frieda Coffee Liqueur recently won Double Gold in The Fifty Best’s Liqueur competition.
Du Nord owner, Chris Montana, attributes part of Cafe Frieda’s success to a unique ingredient: “I will note that the recipe for Cafe Frieda Coffee Liqueur requires that Idris Elba (yes, he is also a DJ) be playing.” Something about bumping an Idris Elba playlist during the filtering process is where the magic happens!
