Mark Shilling, an American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA) past president who currently chairs the ACSA Legislative Affairs committee, recently discussed federal excise tax (FET) relief for craft distillers on “WhiskyCast.”
Along with the show’s host, Mark Gillespie, Shilling talked about the challenges facing the distilling community if the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act—which has reached an all-time high with 315 co-sponsors in the United States House of Representatives and 73 in the United States Senate—is not passed by the end of 2019.
